Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tenn., USA.

“I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today.”
Martin Luther King

I salute your dream in your memory. Let‘s all have a dream.

Was it really 1968? Gosh that seems like such a long time ago when you see the date written, yet I still remember hearing about King's assassination and asking my father who would do such a thing? Boy, doesn't time fly!

Yes the time fly fast but perhaps when the imprint on our minds are live and we feel like it happened recently.

hi good blog, you know i was thinking about MLK yesterday when i heard about having a dream in a bvusiness meeting and i thought about the fact that i don't know what MLK said with his speech. now you blog about it, so thank you

That speech was largely, if not entirely, made up on the spot.

King would have achieved nothing however, if it wasn't for Malcolm X.

  not really, other than he was an activist, some say a racist, and he was assassinated.

Why was he assassinated? Who did it? And why haven’t the perpetrator(s) be brought to justice?

His dream was gone this day 38 years ago with a bullet. Remember that.

He was not a coward.

The powerful and rich today have to hide behind amour shields and millions of dollars worth security to just stay alive.

And King walked the streets with people and died for it.

My dream is that nobody has to die for what they say.
