The Indian government has blocked 18 blogs after Mumbai terror attacks. Many bloggers are protesting against this action in different ways. Now the government seem to be relenting.
Should governments monitor, censor or block blogs in the name of national interest?

The problem is due to some technical reasons they have blacketly blocked certain ISPs. So even blogs which are not having any objectionable content are also being blocked. Now some bloggers ae moving to court.

Surely. But we have governments and they don't seem to whither away in near future. Therefore we need to question and protest any effort on their behalf to extend their domain and power.
