THE COMMITTEES WILL PREVENT ENTRY OF MINORS IN THE BARS AS SINGERS OR WAITRESSES, MAKE WOMEN IN THE BARS AWARE OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING ISSUES AND ALSO RAISE VOICE AGINST ANY HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION FROM STATE, POLICE OR CRIMINALS.

Actually the India Govt is not much concerned with such issues in so far as the victims are 'other people'.This process of 'othering'by the state applies to all marginalized people- eg;people of the dalit communities, transgenders,women(in a restricted sense,perhaps with the exception of upper castes),religious minorities, etc, etc.
There is severe negligence and lack of inclusiveness with respect to theses sections. It's as though they belonged to a different India, popularly referred to as 'Bharath' these days.

Varsha has actually touched a raw nerve; she needs substantial support by all.
The remedies resorted to along legal lines though essential in the first place,
effective ways to organize enlightened resistance to the dominant assumption of morality are also to be found.
The process of 'Othering'and excluding of subaltern sections under the pretext of upholding the 'Honour' of the Nation not only involves violent abuses of human rights, but it also gets tacit support from the administration and lends extra-constitutional legitimacy to the bigots masquerading as patriots. Perhaps many of the 'leftwing' political organizations and 'feminists'treat this as a non-issue for the reason that the victims happen to be 'others'for them too.
